  1. In a pressure cooker pour soaked dal with one green chilli & boil it till 3 whistles. After that drain water & keep aside..
  2. In a kadai heat oil to fry kaju & kismis. Take it out & keep in a bowl aside. Now in the same oil add whole garam masala with bay leaf..
  3. Add cumin seeds in the oil then add boiled daal & saute it for few minutes. (Those who want to add potato & coconut now add them & fry little don't make golden brown)..
  4. Add salt, sugar, ginger paste, Kashmiri Lal mirch powder, green chilli, cumin powder & mix it well..
  5. Add adequate amount of water & let it boil add fried kaju & kismis, when gravy becomes thick add garam masala powder..
  6. Serve it puri, roti & paratha. I have served it with roti..
